俗話說：「民以食為天。」到了國外一定要嚐嚐當地的美食，但到了點餐環節，不要再用手指指菜單和比數字了！用一些簡單的英語會話句型和單字替換，不僅讓服務生更理解點餐需求，也能確保沒有漏點的餐點。現在就來看看如何點餐吧！
 
 

A: May I take your order now?
可以幫你們點餐了嗎？
B: Sure. We’d like one steak, one fish and chips, and two linguine with meatballs.
可以，我們要點一份牛排，一份炸魚薯條，及兩份肉丸子寬扁細麵。
A: And what would you like to drink?
那飲料要什麼呢？
B: Could I get a soft drink?
我可以要一杯軟性飲料嗎？
A: Of course. We have cola, lemonade, and orange soda. Which one would you prefer?
當然。我們有可樂、檸檬水和橙汁汽水。你想要哪一種？
B: Cola, please. Thank you!
請給我可樂，謝謝！
A: You’re welcome! I’ll bring your drinks and food shortly.
不客氣！我馬上就會送來飲料和餐點。
 
 

1. Would開頭的問句：would置於句首用於表達向他人請求協助。
⏺︎   Would you please pass me the pepper?
請將胡椒傳給我好嗎？
⏺︎   How would you like your steak to be cooked?
你的牛排要幾分熟？
 
2. prefer用法：prefer後面直接接名詞，若有比較的對象，後面用介系詞 to或是over。
⏺︎   I prefer juice to coffee in the morning.
我早上比較喜歡喝果汁而不是咖啡。
⏺︎   Many people prefer traveling by train over flying.
